Diablo IV released on June 5, 2023. It’s the first time my name appears in a game that I worked on.

This is something I never could have imagined achieving back when I first started playing Diablo in the early 2000s. It wasn’t something I could imagine for myself in college or even graduate school for a long time. It was just inconceivable that a girl like me, with her interest in learning about people and no strong aptitude for computer programming, could find a place in video games. I was wrong and I’m glad I was wrong. I wholeheartedly believe that games like Diablo are made better through the understanding of player experiences that I provide game designers.
